Established in 1927, Kemmerer Park is the former location of the 19-room Kemmerer Mansion which once overlooked the Lehigh River. Winding up the hill, it features a fountain, gardens, and a picnic pavilion, all of which are original to the park.

Built in 1878 and surviving the demolition of its namesake mansion, this outbuilding has been lovingly restored and is now a tribute to the “Front Hill” Families, the millionaires of early Mauch Chunk.
